Learning Students’ Names

Photos are the absolute best way for preschoolers and their families to learn classmates

I use one set for our job chart. I make pair cards out of two sets and we play memory with them a few times over the next couple of weeks. It really goes a very long way to helping them learn each other

I also make an 8 x 10" copy that gets displayed above our chalkboard. The kids often look at these throughout the year and really enjoy seeing themselves grow and change.

I email all the parents and get permission to send home a picture class list with first names only (be sure to include teacher and any aides). No parent has ever said no, and they have often commented that it greatly helps them learn whom their child is talking about.
